Year-Round Lawn Care Kit

Step 1: Prepare your lawn

Before applying any fertiliser or grass seed, prepare your lawn by following these steps:

1. Mow the lawn to a height of about 5 cm.
2. Remove any leaves, debris, or weeds.
3. Water the lawn thoroughly if it hasn’t rained recently, ensuring the soil is moist.

Step 2: Spring (March – May)

Product: Spring Boost fertiliser

Application Rate: 25g/m².

• Evenly spread the fertiliser over your lawn using a spreader.
• No need to water immediately after application unless rain is not expected for a few days.
• Repeat application in early spring and again in mid-spring for best results.

Step 3: Summer (June – August)

Product: Easy Mow fertiliser

Application Rate: 25g/m².

• Spread the fertiliser evenly over the lawn using a spreader.
• Water lightly after application to activate the nutrients.
• This fertiliser provides nutrients for up to 90 days and promotes steady growth with less mowing required.

Step 4: Autumn (September – November)

Product: Vital Plus fertiliser

Application Rate: 25g/m².

• Evenly distribute the fertiliser across the lawn using a spreader.
• Water the lawn lightly after application.
• This fertiliser will help strengthen your lawn before winter, promoting deep roots and disease resistance.

Step 5: Sowing grass seed (Best in spring or autumn)

Product: Sport & Fun grass seed

Application Rate: 25g/m².

• Water the soil thoroughly before application.
• Spread the grass seed in two passes – first in one direction, then at a 90-degree angle to ensure even coverage.
• Use a roller or gently press the seed into the soil for optimal contact.
• Water immediately after spreading and keep the soil moist for at least two weeks.
• Avoid walking on the newly seeded area until the grass reaches about 5 cm in height.

General Tips:

• Mowing: Maintain a lawn height of about 5 cm throughout the year. Avoid cutting the grass too short, especially in summer and winter.
• Watering: During dry spells, water your lawn deeply once or twice a week. The AquaSaver-coated grass seed reduces water usage, but your lawn will still benefit from consistent moisture.
• Fertilising: Reapply fertiliser every 2-3 months depending on the season, ensuring your lawn receives the right nutrients year-round.

Storage:

• Keep all fertilisers and grass seed in their resealable packaging to ensure freshness and longevity.
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Safety:

• All products in this kit are safe for children and pets. Your lawn can be used immediately after application.
